Unable to set Firefox as default browser

Hello everyone. My problem is described in the title. I can't set Firefox as the default browser and every time I start the application I receive the same notification about it. Thanks in advance.

    "...some notification..."

It would be more helpful if you provided the exact wording of the notification.

Is this a 'new' installation of 22.04, or an upgrade from [what version]?

Thanks for your interest. When I go to Settings > General, it says that Firefox is not my default browser. I press "Make default" and then a Kdialog appears saying "Allow settings change?
Allow snap "firefox" to change "default-web-browser" to "firefox_firefox.desktop" ?" I press yes, but nothing happens. We are talking about a fresh installation of 22.04.
