I have noticed that when Snap has installed Firefox, the latter will not remember passwords even though the security settings direct it to. Getting rid of Snap and installing Firefox from the deb file fixes the problem . . . for a while. Updating, if it includes a new Firefox release (which seems to come out every fifteen minutes or so), brings the Snap problem back.
Is there a way I can banish Snap?
Along the same lines, Discover keeps offering me updates for Thunderbird, which I do not use. I can uncheck those each time, but is there a way to exclude Thunderbird from the update list permanently (or at least until I decide to install it)?
Thanks.
