Is there an option to verify installation media integrity?

Ubuntu 20.04 would do this every time it booted from a live USB and Linux Mint makes this verification an option at boot. I like it, I was trying out Mint from live USB and it actually found an error when checking, so I mounted a different USB drive and the error was gone. Is it possible to do this with Kubuntu 22.04?
Is this unnecessary? I just wanna be sure a defective thumb drive isn't going to corrupt the installation or something.

Pretty sure all the *buntu live disc / installers have a check for errors option.

Actually, the 22.04 iso runs a check automatically, with an option to skip via ctrl-c. Kinda annoying (just a tiny bit) when using the same thumb drive for multiple installs.

When it displays the logo for a bit before booting into the live environment, it's actually secretly doing the check? I did notice it took a while.
How do I know if it found any errors, though?

it would stop and tell you, and in the times I have installed it, it quite clearly shows before it starts the actual boot process. -- it can take some time, which is the annoying part, if you have already let it check things on another install

of course, I can't take a screenshot, as for some reason this is not showing or happening in virt-manager when I try another virtual test install.

Mint, being based on 20.04, probably is using the same setup that Ubuntu/Kubuntu use, which does provide a manual checking option
