My old ASUS "died" the other day, and I got a used P6T SE ASUS motherboard/ATI Radeon HD 4770 based workstation. Win10 working just fine - but the Kubuntu 22.04 will not do anything, just driving the DVD player "crazy". At first some reference to the graphics (too fast for me to record), and then in the end (10 minutes - 20?)
FAILED to start Snap daemon Dispatcher
FAILED to start Ubuntu Live CD installer.-
So, I tried the simpler graphics option, and at first things looks fine, the Kubuntu logo with four white dots repeatedly turning blue, then after a time, red dots, ending in a screen where the top is mainly pink, and the lower part is black.
Then I tried the 20.04 DVD. Installing "just fine" - except it is the Ubuntu, not Kubuntu.
What am I up to here? I am looking for a dual boot at this PC.
Someone to help me - it has been a long time since I did anything else than just use Kubuntu (20.04).
