AVG online security flags checksum page as "untrusted"

    Hi Folks
I have downloaded and checked the Kubuntu 22.04 iso with checksum and signature (all ok) but am slightly concerned that the checksum page and the "main download site (England) are marked as untrusted by users of AVG online security (Firefox extension) .Has anybody else noticed this or can anyone suggest why the sites have been given a "thumbs down" . As a Kubuntu newbie I would welcome any advice and apologise in advance if wasting peoples time.

    Welcome to KFN.

If the checksum/signature of the download 'check out', I wouldn't worry. IF there were a known issue with the mirror site, Ubuntu would take action.

Probably part of the problem (from AVG and/or its users), is that mirrored, large downloads like these are usually not using HTTPS. Or not all mirrors are able to do so. There are various reasons for this but essentially, https gives confidentiality, as opposed to file authenticity.

Thanks claydoh . I thought that with the checks coming back good that there was nothing seriously amiss but wanted to find out if anyone else had experienced the same issue . Appreciate your help.
