    Kubuntu won't automatically boot

    Hi there,

just built a new PC and transferred the working OS-Disc to the new PC, everything works fine except when i start up the PC it goes to the Bios-splash screen and then nothing happens; if i then reboot i get to the grub screen but when i select the uppermost entry it hangs on the Bios-splash again. To resolve this i have to first select recovery mode then resume boot and everything works as expected. Any ideas on what the problem could be? Thx so much

After booing into recovery mode and resuming, try reinstalling GRUB.

    sudo grub-install /dev/sda

Use whatever device is your boot device.

Weird. You need to figure out what the hang is. Try booting and selecting a different kernel.

FWIW: While fiddling around i just realized i was on Kernel 5.15, so i installed HWE 22.04 (Kernel 6.5) and now everything is fine again, thx for taking your time, have a nice day
