Can anyone tell me please how to do a clean install of Kubuntu 23.04. I want to clean my SSD and install a fresh copy. I have a so-called usb boot stick that isn't being used during a reboot (or power off/on). This used to work. I used Startup Disc Creator to make it. I also used dd with no change. The USB3 boot stick is plugged directly into a USB3 port but not found during boot.
Everything I see online about doing a fresh install I pretty much understand but it all comes back to the USB thumb drive not being recognised as a boot drive in a reboot. The "boot stick" is recognized as a drive however, as seen under drives below id 3 Cruzer Glide:
I listed all so you could see any problems.
Anyway, bit of a ramble but important to me as my system has become unwieldy and I want to start over. Can some help please?
