    [SOLVED] How to disable automount?

I am unable to find information I can use on this question anywhere!

For various reasons, I need to stop automount of external devices when they are plugged into my box.

Any suggestions as to how I could do this?

System settings >> removable storage >> removable devices
This actually also involves drive partitions not included in your fstab, so you will see any connected hard drives and network ones in there as well (My "stuff" in the attached image, for example)
You can tell the connection types by their icons

Uncheck the "Automatically mount" box at the very bottom, then un-check both boxes for "All Known Devices" at the top. You will need to multi-select and 'forget' any devices that may be set to automount, or uncheck all the boxes (tedious).
In this setup, you may leave certain ones alone if you know that they are permanently or regularly attached (like my USB backup drive below)

First, THANKS for the very quick response. Amazing and I'm grateful.

Second, this completely fixed my problem. I had no idea this functionality was part of the System Settings interface.

Yes...I'm noticing a number of new items I had not previously seen. KB 22.04 appears to offer new options. I'll be checking them out.
