    Mauszeiger, Mouse

Hello, after installing Kubuntu 22.04 I tried to install my mouse called "Mint Leaf". But it wasn't possible. After installation the mouse did not appear or could not be choosen. Obviously it is not possible to install any other mouse exept the pre-installed mice. Please change that.
    Kind regards, Sigurd

      Mauszeiger = mouse cursor

      this one?
      https://store.kde.org/p/1289748/
      or this
      https://store.kde.org/p/1289748/

I am guessing that the KDE store is being flaky and buggy, as has been the norm lately. Kubuntu has no control over that, though KDE needs to do more to fix things, for sure.
You might need to download the file from the store directly, and use the 'install from file' option in System Settings.
Or see if it is working tomorrow or later today, lol.

Worked here on my 22.04 installation. I just followed the instructions. I downloaded the file (mintleaf.tar.gz) [saves the file to Downloads). Opened Dolphin. Opened Downloads. Right-clicked on mintleaf.tar.gz and clicked on Open with Ark. Clicked on Extract (default location is /home/username/Downloads [for me, username is paul]). Close Ark. Open Konsole. Type: sudo cp -r Downloads/mintleaf/ /usr/share/icons

Enter my password and press Enter. Done.

Navigate to System Settings. Click on Appearance. Click on Cursors. Click on Mint Leaf. Click on Apply.

But I am guessing that using the "Get New" tool does not work

            Hi, Snowhog,
I got a Mintleaf file from the website "https://www.gnome-look.org/p/999875". But it was a tar only file (mintleaf.tar). I uncompressed it with Ark and compressed it again with Ark to a mintleaf.tar.gz - file. In the system controls I got the message that this is not a valid mouse cursor file but it installed it and it works.
Thank you very much for your help!
            Kind regards, Sigurd

                Hi Snowhog,
This way it work not completely. In some areas it dose not work. Another cursor appeared. But now I went to the repository and installed it over the not right working mouse cursor. It did not crash. Now it works fully in all areas. Kind regards, Sigurd

Using the 'Install from File' option, you don't need to uncompress it at all, just point the installer to the tar.gz file, which is what it is looking for.

                    Hi claydoh,
As I said, the file I got from that website was a .tar file and not installable. So I had to unpack it and to pack it as a .tar.gz file. Now it was installable. But it did not work at all areas on the screen. Only after the installation from the repository made the installation complete and the Mint Leaf mouse cursor is now working fine at all areas.
                    Kind regards, Sigurd

Odd. I downloaded it from the KDE store website, which provided it as a tar.gz.
I just grabbed it from your link as a tar.gz file, and it installed as expected.

                      Odder.
