    Video card recommenations?

I'm just looking for suggestions. There are indications that my video card, after many years, is nearing the end. It's an NVIDIA Corporation TU116 [GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER] (rev a1). I think its a problem because randomly both my monitors go dark, and the only way I've found to get them going again is to turn the box off (dangerous, I know, but what else can I do?) and on again.

Here's where the recommendations come in. I am not a gamer. Other than surfing the web, all my work is text based. I don't need the latest and greatest video card; I just need something reliable that won't offend the eyes.

    Thanks.

For a non-gamer doing text based work, you sure have a LOT of ram.
Any nVidia GPU with 4GB+ of memory should do, if you can go for 8GB, even better if you have the budget, though kinda overkill, like that ram 🐻

If you go for an AMD GPU you will never have to worry about installing the nvidia drivers, everything works "out of the box"

Just use the built-in graphics card from your Intel CPU. It will come online when you remove the discrete GPU

I agree completely. If you are just doing basic stuff, no gaming or streaming or heavy video editing/HTPC stuff, the onboard graphics can easily support 2 or more monitors. Assuming you have multiple outputs on the motherboard of course.

If not, you can go used, and potentially have issues similar to what you have now, or something like the RX 6400 will be more than enough, and is ~140 on Amazon, new

Pretty much. Discrete GPUs are hella expensive. Make do with your built in until you really need a gaming GPU.
