Although HP says this printer works with Linux, it will not print either on wireless or on ethernet. In the setup process, one reaches a point where the online setup program calls for a "pairing code." The difficulty is that the instructions for getting a pairing code are for Windows only. I have been able to get the printer on my network. I can ping it. I can even ping it from my Windows VM. But it will not print.
HP says that the pairing code will show up on the printer's window. It certainly doesn't show up spontaneously, and HP gives no clue about where to find it in the various menus. At this point, the printer is on my wireless network, but it's behaving like an expensive brick. Any ideas?
