Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64-bit) will not open maximized?

Thunderbird 115.12.1 (64-bit) will not open maximized?
It's almost maximized, but I still have to click "Maximize".
It's almost maximized just not quite and even though when I exit it is maximized (I clicked maximize) when I start it up again it is not maximized.

    Is there a cure?

Snap. Gots to be Snap. Your Thunderbird is a Snap app?

      I suppose it is.
If it were supplied with the 22.04 then it would be.
Is there a way to check?

To see what snap packages are installed, open a konsole and type: snap list

I tried it and got this....

          greg@OptiPlex-9020:~$ snap list
Command 'snap' not found, but can be installed with:
          sudo apt install snapd
          greg@OptiPlex-9020:~$ sudo apt install snapd
          [sudo] password for greg:
          Reading package lists... Done
          Building dependency tree... Done
          Reading state information... Done
Package snapd is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'snapd' has no installation candidate
          greg@OptiPlex-9020:~$

Just means that snap et al isn't installed, or you had it all removed?

            Try instead: apt-cache show thunderbird

If Thunderbird is a snap package, the Version: line will inlcude snap as part of the version name.

I did remove Firefox snap by following instructions on this forum and installed the non snap version of FF.
Here is what I got when I ran apt-cache show thunderbird.
It's showing a lot of stuff I just don't understand......

You have three versions of Thunderbird, one installed: 115.12.1; and two earlier versions: 115.12.0 and 91.8.0.

Must have been survivors from the pre 22.04?
Interesting since Discover gives me an update to Tbird almost every day.

Discover identifies if an application is a Snap app. Search for Thunderbird in Discover. In my case there are two listed: Thunderbird Mail (not a Snap app) and Thunderbird (a Snap app).

I only have one Thunderbird in Discover.
I have a bunch of other things that I guess are related to Thunderbird but they all have "Install" behind them. Only one has "Remove" behind it.

I did check Synaptic Package Manager and it does show it, but only once.

Okay. So I need to correct myself. apt-cache show packagename provides information about the package and available updates, if any, to it. So, in your case, one is installed (obviously; you're using it) and two others that are available for installation.

packagename is replaced with the actual name of the package you want apt-cache show to give you information on.
