    How to install system updates

Hello. I just installed Kubuntu a few days ago on a older DELL laptop XPS-9700. Now the updater wants me to install the things in the screenshot but when I click "update all" nothing happens. Other updates install as expected. https://imgur.com/a/npRyz84

    Welcome!

Those are firmware updates for your specific hardware - connect your laptop to power before installing firmware!

IMHO this is best done in the Konsole terminal emulator.

    List available firmware updates:
    fwupdmgr -v get-updates

    Install them:
sudo fwupdmgr -v update - don't shut off your computer until this is completely done!!!
(Sometimes you have to install them one by one to work…)

To get more information about the program fwupdmgr:
man fwupdmgr - press [q] to leave the man pages.
