Using KB minimal on an older ASUS laptop and would like to disable the whole animation feature. Didn't see the disable feature in the Accessibility option or other selections. Maybe because using the minimal distro.

Animations are found in a few places, the main one being Desktop Effects
Use System Settings search function to show the different modules that may have such options.
These are pretty much all done on the graphics stack, so even old systems like my 2013 i3 laptop or weak-kneed chromebook have no issues with the stock settings, and won't affect the cpu or ram noticeably, so YMMV.Last edited by claydoh; Apr 01, 2023, 03:41 PM.

In System Settings -> Desktop Effects you can set the speed of the animations to "at once" (I don't know the exact English descriptions there, but I hope you can find it).Last edited by Schwarzer Kater; Apr 01, 2023, 03:51 PM.Debian KDE & LXQt • Kubuntu & Lubuntu • openSUSE KDE • Windows • macOS X
