    Window animations not working anymore

    Hello,
I noticed (I don't know exactly when it started) that my Kubuntu 22.04 stopped doing the usual animations (like when I reduce a window, close it, feels like I'm using Lubuntu) and even my Konsole background became opaque (it used to be transparent).
    • For the animations, I checked the setting many times, I tried to add more animations (like the mouse animations) but nothing works.
    • For the Konsole, I tried to edit the profile and it displayed a message saying something like "cannot use background transparency because your desktop doesn't seem to support this kind of window type" (sorry bad translation from French)

Just in case, here's the message:
    Code:
Impossible d'utiliser la transparence de l'arrière-plan car votre bureau ne semble pas gérer ce type de fenêtre
It used to work well for me. I only had some kwin notifications (when turning on from sleep mode) saying that it encountered a problem, but it didn't say which one. Now I don't get these notifications anymore, plus the problems described above.

    Thank you

Your problems indicate the "compositor" is off. In system settings, the hardware section, display and monitor, compositor make sure "enable on startup" is checked.

However, the most common causes of this are nVidia driver problems. Please tell us more about your hardware, and any drivers being used.

Thank you very much. Actually it was checked. I found an error message saying that OpenGL was deactivated because it caused kwin to crash multiple times, that I could reactivate it if I updated drivers or something like that.
Sorry I didn't copy the message on time. I reactivated it but it didn't change anything.

I'm using an hp ENVY dv6, nvidia graphic card. How do I find the driver? sorry I'm dumb at these things. I don't know which drivers exactly.

Someone with more nVidia knowledge is needed, sorry.
