Can't connect to wifi hotspot

MY HP laptop running kubuntu is showing God to excellent signal strength but cannot connect to the internet. My chrome tablet is having no problems doing so? Help!

What is the make and model of its WiFI chip?
Ditto for your router.
What does rfkill show?
Post the output of "sudo lshw", and "sudo lspci"
