[PLASMA 5] Odd borders around application menu and task manager thumbnails

Started noticing these after the latest Plasma update to 5.22.1.

I am wondering if this has to do with some old setting somewhere... any ideas?

    It seems well known

I can't seem to notice this myself, but I don't have tool tips on my setup. or use a stock plasma style, but even switching to Breeze does not seem to exhibit this, or it is more subtle on my monitors.

Some seem to mitigate this by changing/adjusting the blur and/or background contrast

Rounded corners is not part of Kubuntu 20.04 but it could be part of Kubuntu 21.04.
System Settings --> Application Style --> Windows Decorations has border settings in 20.04 but no rounded corner options. Perhaps 21.04 has options allowing setting sharp or rounded corners.

Here is a video about KDE rounded corners.

Thanks @claydoh... I wasn't particularly clear with my arrow placements in the image. It's not just the corner that is bothering me it is the entire edge. If you look at it from a slightly different angle (or increase the contrast on the image) you will notice that the entire border is a slightly different shade of gray. I have a laptop that runs Kubuntu and received the same updates but does not have this issue.

Some of the threads on this on Reddit talk about this as well. Blur/ shadow on the border causing these artifacts
