VLCcannot open files from SMB mount in Dolphin

Hi everyone

I am having a hard time with the SMB implementation in dolphin. For one I can't find out where it is mounted to so I can't access it in konsole.

But more pressing, I cannot open video files in VLC. Neither via doubleclick in Dolphin nor through opening it in VLC directly.

I get an error. I have activated logging in VLC but I don't find it very helpful:

main debug: adding track smb://nas@storage.intern.domain. tld/nas/Media/Serien/Columbo/Season 5/Columbo - [05x01].mkv to running instance

This is the last entry in the log... Level is diagnostic.

Is there a way to fix this?

Try entering your Samba credentials in VLC: Tools > Preferences > Show settings (All) > Imput/Codecs > Access Modules > SMB. If this fails, your best bet is one of the forums dedicated to Samba.
