    Cannot burn CD/DVD

    Hi

I have prepared a new PC with 21.04 version.
Today I tried to burn a DVD using K3B, but it says that there's no hardware available to use.
I also tried Brasero, same thing.

But if I try to read a DVD or CD already burned, the reader works.

    How can I solve this?
    What's missing?

    Thanks

Can you provide Info about the optical drive in your system? Make and model of the device, and what k3b or brasero show for hardware info

Damn, sometimes we don't see the obvious.
      It's not a DVD burner, it's only a DVD-ROM

      id:
      cdrom
      description: DVD reader
      product: DVD-ROM SH-116AB

      Thanks

        That stinks
Kinda sorry it wasn't a hardware detection issue..
