    Can't access samba folder

I used this guide to set up samba on my ubuntu 20.04 LTS server, https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install...mba#1-overview

Followed all the steps, then on my other Desktop machine running KDE, I go to dolphin and right click the samba folder in network and edit the adderess to smb://<the correct IP>/home/<myusername>sambashare

Everytime it says unable to connect, does not exist. I've check the folder is there at the correct path on the server. Can anyone help ?
    Thanks:<br />Using a Toshiba A300-21H ,3GB ram,Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz,Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD,intel wifi link 5100. Tux wants you!

Also try just using the IP address smb://ipaddressofyoursambaserver without the /home/yourusername addition

Did you check that t is not a network problem ?
try pinging the ip address and see if there is a reply from the remote server.
    ping ipaddressofyoursambaserver

You can also install wireshark and track what happens on the network if the ping command indicates there is a reply.
