I created an ext4 partition on a USB drive, encrypted using LUKS, using the KDE partition manager.
When I plug the drive in, I am prompted to enter the password, which I do.
This does not unlock the drive. It still shows with the orange padlocked icon in both the systray device notifier and the left panel of Dolphin. I cannot copy, move etc to the drive.
Any ideas why this is not working?
EDIT: It seems that I *can* copy and move files to the drive using the terminal and sudo commands. So is the problem that, somehow, the drive is being unlocked, but with the wrong permissions? If so, how do I get those right?
EDIT, SOLVED: was indeed permissions, solved by chown -R user /mount/point
Will leave up in case useful for others
