Hello Everyone,
Yesterday I installed Kubuntu 20.04 on my personal machine. I had Kubuntu 16.04 so far which worked very well but I realized that some new softwares require a version >= 18.04.
Everything works fine except something in TexMaker: the pdf viewer displays a blurry text. I googled it and realized that it was because I had to "scale the display" as explained here:
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questi...aker-is-blurry
(for me it is in "System Settings" > "Hardware" > "Display and Monitor" > "Global Scale" > set it to 175%)
I verified that it was indeed the cause of the issue by putting this scaling factor to 100% and it fixed this issue. But with 100% everything is really to small so I put it back to 175%. On Kubuntu 16.04, I think that I also had to do some kind of scaling but it didn't provoke any issue with TexMaker. I also have Ubuntu 18.04 on my professional laptop and I didn't come across this issue either.
For now I'm using Kile instead but I don't like it as much as TexMaker (no "Jump to line" feature).
I wanted to try installing an older version of TexMaker to see if it fixes the issue but I don't know how to do it. I downloaded from this page:
https://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/download.html
texmaker-4.5.tar.bz2 but after I extract it, I don't find any .deb file and I don't know what to do. I also tried "sudo apt-get install texmaker=4.5" and "sudo apt-get install texmaker=texmaker-4.5" but the terminal tells me that it didn't find it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
