    mtink device file

Kubuntu 20.04 with working Epson WF-3720 printer.

executing /usr/bin/mtink produces an error message

"No access to printer device file"

The user is in the /etc/group file included in groups lp and lpdamin.

I have no idea what device file the program needs access to ?

It may be suffering from bit rot, seeing as this software last had a new version in 2007.
However, you may need to load the kernel module usblp before running mtink

    sudo modprobe usblp

If that works, then add the module to the file /etc/modules to load it during boot
