20.04.1 via Discover update still not available?

    Hello everyone,

I was just checking to see if updating via Discover or the software updater had been enabled yet. I haven't received any notification of one and when I do-release-upgrade I'm told there isn't an update available.

If you installed 20.04, you should have 20.04.1 by now, if you have updated your computer as usual. 20.04.1 is 20.04 with all the updates since it was released.

If you mean upgrades from 18.04, then the Ubuntu release team has not enabled these yet. There are some blocker bugs affecting upgrades of Ubuntu and ALL flavours yet to be fixed to the satisfaction of the release team.

Thanks a bunch for the info. I'm glad they're taking their time with it. I'm indeed waiting to upgrade from 18.04 and was just making sure I didn't have a broken updater.

It's your choice, but you are not required to update from 18.04 to 20.04 or 20.04.1.

You can do a clean install of 20.04.1 in place of 18.04. But whatever you do, make sure you FIRST backup your data and files in /home, just in case.
