      I added it and then shutdown + started again. Now I can see the option ( no icon though ). Thanks.

        You have to set the icon yourself. Look above in my top screen shot. See the icon? That's a dialog box. Yours probably has a place holder in it.

        Open it again in System Setting > Removable Devices > Device Actions, select your entry and Edit. Then click on the icon box. A dialog opens to select an icon and defaults to System Icons > Applications, type "part" in the search bar and choose the partitionmanager icon and OK twice to save.

        FYI, most things like this you don't have to reboot for. They usually load themselves when activated or at worst require logging out and back in. In this case, removing a re-inserting a thumb drive probably would have shown the change.
