    [PLASMA 5] Add emoji

Is there any built-in method to add emoji to text inputs inside Plasma 5.18 in 20.04 ? ie, I am using Libre Office Writer or Kate or here for example. Currently, I do not see any option to add emoji alongside the text. Thanks.

There is an emoji picker , you can use the search in your menu to find it.
It does copy a selected emoji to the clipboard, to be pasted in a document, so it is not really integrated in any way.

Alternatively, one can use rofi to select from your own curated list of emojis, unicode characters etc.

One can use rofi for so many different things. Worth knowing. There are quite a few nice YouTube videos and scripts available.
