    [SOLVED] Chromium loading some pages...badly.

In the last couple days chromium has started to fail to display various sites. Some are normal, but others are all messed up. For example Craigslist, Facebook, and Kubuntu Forums don't look right anymore. Ebay starts off bad but then it loads up and looks normal. So I think it may have to do with loading. Firefox does not have this problem. (I am posting from FF)

One thing I have found is that text is often loaded but invisible. I can select it, and copy, and paste it..

The attached image is how this forum looks in Chromium right now on my system. I have cleared my images and history.

    What could be the problem?

This started happening to me again rather too soon for it to be a cache problem. So I did some more poking around.

I found that Chromium enables "Auto Dark Mode" in chrome://flags by default. This causes many pages to display white text on white background.

The solution is to disable auto dark mode.
