    [Utilities] k4dirstat crashes

I love k4dirstat for it's disk space overview using a treemap, qdirstat is also not bad, and baobab has a different approach (concentric shells) display disk usage.

But in Ubuntu20.04 it is broken for me, it crashes.

    Any confirmations?

Yes it crashes for me too - immediately after the file open dialog is displayed.

Not here. I installed it and launched it. It opened, but didn't actually display anything. All the menu items/tabs were clickable, but nothing in the window area below was displayed.

I'm going to make a guess and say, that for both of you, the crashes 'might' be because you've had the application installed for quite some time, well before 20.04, and that even though the app itself has been updated, the configuration files in your user home directory haven't been. Assuming that is the likely cause, just remove any directory/files in your /home directory that belongs to kdirstat and then relaunch the app.

It's not supported any more. The latest version is QDirStat.

interesting it works for you. I tried it on two machines, the other completely virgin $HOME, no old relics. Also crashed.
But a commented also, qdirstat still works. Coincidence or not, today somebody filed an issue in github.

I've reported the crash on Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/bugs/1873637 and added links to upstream report and my crash info on https://errors.ubuntu.com.
