After eight years of using Linux Mint KDE on previous machines, I have now installed Kubuntu, in a dual boot, on my new laptop (Ryzen 5-4500u with embedded graphics). At the boot, the screen hangs at the "Acer" logo. However, if I go to "recovery mode", the system boots practically immediately. This isn't the worst problem in the world. It's not catastrophic, but it is a bit annoying. I have a suspicion that the issue is related to Grub2, but I do not have the skills to diagnose or solve the issue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
