I had problems with login after successfully configuring the ProtonVPN Client download.
It took a week or more for the excellent techs at ProtonVPN to work out the problem - my KWallet was disabled.
It seems that KWallet - something mysterious which I do not use - is disabled by default. However, it must be enabled if a Kubuntu user wishes to use ProtonVPN. It is a simple matter to do.
Once enabled, I was able to login to the VPN facility without problems.
If you are interested, you must login to ProtonVPN first. The download opens with a clear set of installation instructions - I think there are 5 konsole commands to be entered and these are provided.
But before you start, enable KWallet!
