Beringer UMC404HD Kxstudio repositories

I have a Lenovo laptop with kubuntu 20, but have a newer one coming (2018 model year), & plan to run the same with kxstudio through the new Beringer UMC404HD interface that is coming as well.
Who is using the kxstudio repositories, Cadence,& or the Carla app?
I've never used them, but it sounds like a good setup.
I will run my mics, Reface DX, and Crumar Mojo 61 into Reaper as well as podcast for our local Festival Society.
Has anyone had issues with the Beringer?

I use the Ubuntu Studio addon which is very good, with a Focusrite firewire interface. That runs very well and firewire is getting obsolete now so USB should be fine as USB Audio devices seem to be very well supported on linux overall. The linux version of Reaper works well
