Boot issues and screen tearing with Intel UHD Graphics 630

I'm thinking its not related to the Intel 630 graphics chip. I have the exact chip and never have issue with tearing using Kubuntu or neon.
The only issue was Lubuntu. That was fixed after starting Compton.

The system has been running at my friend's workplace for two weeks now.
I have used the method described above in post #12. No issues so far!
