Printer Driver for FujiXerox FX DocuPrint P265 dw

Does anyone know how to get the printer FujiXerox FX DocuPrint P265 dw working on KUbuntu 20.04?

I tried to add this as new Printer, but it couldn't print anything.

The “Choose Driver — Download Printer Driver” window offered me “guteprint” as the only option of printer driver.

All print jobs sent to the printer, as shown on the Print Queue screen, disappeared immediately (which resulted in Completed Jobs).

Here is how someone else solved their install issue with this printer:
    Solved

For anyone reading this in a similar situation. It turns out that my printer had a static IP address, which was out of the router's subnet or something.

To fix this, I changed IP using the printer's lcd

    My IP = 10.0.0.8

Old Wrong Printer IP = 169.254.12.34

    New Printer IP = 10.0.0.64
and, at another site he gave a better description:
    Good News!

I finally got it working over wifi too. My problem was that the printer used a static IP which didn't match the router's gateway mask (I'm new to computing)

To fix I just checked my IP using the wifi router:

    My IP = 10.0.0.8

Then using the Fuji Xerox P265 dw LCD panel.

Networking > WiFi > IP address

Change (tediuosly) from the default 169.254.12.34 to 10.0.0.anything

Hope this helps someone, as they are a nice quality cheap printer.

    Cheers

I don't have that printer, but I did some searching and found this from 2015: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2273991

There is also a dated article from Archlinux on the subject: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/CUPS#cups-browsed

The Linux Mint forum has this but it's not the exact model that you have: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=296529

These resources were found with a Google search
linux FujiXerox FX DocuPrint P265 dw
. Most of the links were for the Windows driver, which of course is pretty much useless, and one link from India which bombarded me with messages about my machine having all kinds of different malware, which I don't have, but which were click bait for some likely really bad stuff. Be careful out there!
