Incosolata fonts get cut off in konsole

I have a problem with konsole and incosolata font face. It seems to cut off a part of the word (halcyon -> halcyc). I tried both the version from the author homepage as well as the one from the repo.

Attached is the screenshot showing the problem:

hoa@halcyc is:

hoa is the username
halcyc is the hostname

So unless you are telling us that your system Hostname is not halcyc I don't see anything wrong here.

If you look at the zoomed picture, it appears all the colored texts are shaved off a bit as well. Odd...

Have you tried changing fonts? It might be a bad font file.

Droid Sans mono also has the similar problem. The rest of font faces are okay.
Bad font file: I doubt so... tried all versions of inconsolata as stated in my original thread.

This is happening to me too. Its also happening in vim. Weird thing is, when I move around in vim, the part that gets cut off seems to kinda scroll. When I'm moving the cursor right on a word that is cut off, when it gets to the end of where the word is displayed (where it cuts off) the whole word moves as I keep moving right, but the cursor doesn't move till I'm past the word.

Switching to the 'Bold' version of the font in Konsole>Settings>EditCurrentProfile>Appearance should fix the 'cut offs'

('Colored' output seems to use bold fonts even when you've chosen the Regular font, and if the spacing difference between Regular and Bold is big, bold text seems to get cut off when using Regular spacing...switching to Bold font should use Bold spacing)

Worked! Thank you. I even find that everything in konsole looks better with it bolded.

I'm having this problem with any monospace font I use in Konsole.

Unlike some folks, I'd rather not bold all of my fonts.

This would appear to be bug 226308 at KDE: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226308

Doesn't look like there's a fix yet. :-(
