    Login Manager not changing my login screen...

    hey guys, just a quick question right here-

    I was trying to customize my login screen, and I wanted to put a custom wallpaper, but whenever I go to system settings-> Advanced -> Login Manager ->background, and I select a picture, i doesnt apply it even though I hit apply; It doesn't even seem to come up in the preview screen...

    Anyone know what is up with that?

    Just a guess - look at /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc and see if the line

    UseTheme=true

    is in there. If it's got a # in front of it - this isn't it. If it doesn't - it overrides the background setting.

      Are you sure there's a splash screen available for the same screen resolution of your desktop? Sometimes when the resolutions don't match, you'll only see a frozen login screen with no icons and fields...
