    Are you using ubuntuzilla? http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawik...e#Installation

    I believe 3.6 is available. Ubuntuzilla installs the official mozilla build of firefox/thunderbird. What you have if you have what's stock on kubuntu is the ubuntu build which is not the most recent by a long shot.
    Home: Kubuntu 12.04-amd64; Intel i7-860 on Intel DH55PJ; Nvidia 9500GT; 6GB RAM
    Network Slave: Xubuntu 11.10-x86; Intel P4-Prescott on MSI; 2GB RAM; Nvidia FX5200
    Portable: Xubuntu 11.10-amd64; Asus EeePC 1015PEM

      Or if you want the daily build, add this repository.

      Run

      Code:
       sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa

      Then run

      Code:
      sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
      That should upgrade you to "Namaroka".

        With ubuntuzilla I'm running FF 3.6 and Tbird 3.0.3 with lightning extension.

        Works for me

          The one provided by the PPA is Namoroka/3.6.2pre for Firefox and for Thunderbird it's Shredder/3.0.4pre.

          BTW, upgrading to Thunderbird 3 is worth it just to get the Lightning extension.
