    Is kernel 2.6.32.4 safe?

I have a problem with Virualbox. (host = Karmic 64-bit, guest = XP). XP runs real slow on 1 CPU and selecting 2 or 3 CPUs make it run incredibly slow. A little reading at the VB website yielded http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/5501. Which basically says to run kernel 2.6.32.4. (From http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa...ine/v2.6.32.4/).

Does anybody have any experience with this kernel in Karmic?

Is my assumption that if it turns out to be unstable I can just boot into a stable kernel with grub correct?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill

Did you mean 2.6.32.14? It is stable enough to keep Xubuntu 10.04 alive and well. Yes you can use the earlier version from your grub screen.
