    How do I find out these system requirements for webex?

    Hi y'all,

    I am trying - unsuccessfully so far - to access a php course presented via webex.
    I am told I need to meet the following requirements ( I have removed the ones that I know are ok);

    * X Lib: X11R6 or above compatible
    * C++ Lib: libstdc++ 6
    * GDK/GTK+ version: 2.0 or above
    * Glib: 2.0 or above
    * OSS Interface (for Audio)

    How do I find out if these are ok on my system?
    Running Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit.

    Thanks.

    webex has a test meeting you can use. Worked fine for me with Kubuntu Karmic in Firefox but not in Google Chrome. Note that desktop sharing doesn't work under Linux but you should be able to participate in the meeting.

    Easiest way I know of to check version numbers of a whole list of applications is with synaptic.
    we see things not as they are, but as we are.

      Hey wizard,

      Apologies... I just saw your post.

      Yes synaptic works for this.
      Webex worked, including desktop sharing on Jaunty, but I couldn't get sound working on Karmic - which may well have been my machine rather than the OS.

      Thanks.
