It works in principle here. I have a few remarks, and would like to share them, and more so find out if it was in order to file a bug, or if these issues are known.
First, thumbs up for Desktop Grid and its enhancement: Finally, and desktop with more than one application running will be shown with the windows of those applications side by side, so that I can select them. Great!
Second, my grouses:
a) The network manager is not available in the system tray, though I have set it to 'always'. The same applies to klipper and ktorrent. The print manager is available, though.
b) The Dashboard isn't coming up any longer on fullscreen through edge action, at least. It works okay when hitting an upper edge (my setting) on any empty or non-full desktop. But with all screens with full screen application, it flickers forth and back, and in 95% of the case is stuck at 'non-dashboard'. I'd rather have it toggle properly, with an adjustable threshold, so that moving the mouse across the upper edge simply and robustly toggles dashboard on and off. On 4.3.5 this was almost okay.
This bugs me by far the most, because I am still (and quite happily) working myself away from panels.
c) I really loved the default desktop background of 4.3, the dark blue with the light spots in it. The current default looks so cheap, almost dirty, with the highlighting of the applications on it like done by a three-year-old having painted the background with some pencil strokes left and right.
