[SOLVED] Installing splash Screen in KDE 4.4

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to install a new splash screen in KDE 4.4. I'm using the option "get new themes", I select a them, I install it, but it doesn't in the list to select the new spash screen that i installed.

What is the problem? I see that the in "get new themes", the theme that I selected says in the botton "uninstall", that means, it is installed but, i cannot see it in the list.

Some (many ?) of the KDE splash screen are not working with the "Get New Themes" because they are using an external download page. More of that > Topic: Change the splash?

Looking > KDE-Look / KDE4 Splash Screens:

- OxyLightsSplashScreen is using Mediafire
- OxyLights 2 Splash is using Mediafire
- Linux-Perfection-Splash is using Uploaded.to

I downloaded a them on KDE-look and I installed it using the option "Install Theme File" and it worked!!!!. However, I think the other option has to be available, don't you?

Hmm - if you mean that "Get New Themes" option. It is depending of the developers - if they use the KDE-Look.org then the "Get New Themes" is working.
