speech dispatcher doesnt work

hi everyone

after i install and configure KTTSD i get an error whenever an application tries to use KTTSD: I am told to look in speech dispatcher's logs (under .speech-dispatcher/ or /var/log/speech-dispatcher/) but all logs are empty. Any ideas how to fix this? I liked having my pdf files read to me

you will allso nead Kmouth and KTTSMGR......it works hear but sounds varey robotick.

i have all those installed. 4.3 KTTSD works, but they 'upgraded' it in 4.4 and now it doesnt work anymore :|
