KDE4.4 updates but some are blocked

I am planning on updating to KDE 4.4 but there are 39 blocked updates Listed.

Will these affect the other updates or is there a way to unblock them?

How are you trying to upgrade?
Do you still have blocked updates if you use this command from the cli?

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

I was trying to upgrade through Kpackagekit but I tried the Cli command and nothing so I do it that way.

I keep forgetting to upgrade that way.
