desktop sharing comes up at every logon. How to stop?

Having set my preferences, how do I stop the desktop sharing dialogue box from coming up at every log in. Looking for windows vnc service equivalent in that you log in, it's an icon in the taskbar (as desktop sharing does), but that's all that is seen.

    Thanks.

If it's caused by krfb then fire up that app and delete your permanent offerings of sharing.

That would prevent the point of the sharing in the first place. The intent is to leaving the sharing ability enabled permanently, AND not have the popup box come up (again) at all. e.g. VNC, at will, from another machine to this machine. It is normally left logged in (screen saver locked), and unattended.

So, the question was ... having set these sharing permissions, how to prevent any further pop up dialogues?
