ShutDown am I Crazy?

It seems that randomly when I click to shut down the computer instead of doing that it will just log out!

I thought it was just me but my dad said his computer did the same thing. Anyone else notice this or we just crazy fools.

I do not know what it is, sometimes I have the same problem, I know it has to do with the installation of some program or the lack of it. but I do not know for sure.
