    k3b unable to burn

    "Unable to open new session.:
    "Probably a problem with the medium"

    but the medium should be fine... its working under windows

    This has happened before:

    Make sure your user is a member of the "fuse" group, and if there is a "scanner" group (I'm away from my system) make sure he's in that one too.

      uhm still the same error... I also tried to use the k3bsetup. I created a new group called burning put myself into it and changed the privileges in k3bsetup... no success

        Make sure you aren't, maybe, trying to use a DVD-RW disc instead of a CD-RW disc, or a CD-R only disc.
        Windows no longer obstructs my view.

                on the groups thing hears mine

                and it works fine.......see if your in all those.

                and check the avalabel space on / ......K3b is righting to a /tmp/ file to stage the iso befor burning
                and has to have enuff space in /tmp

                  even using cdrecord with sudo precommand has the same result... it may be a hardware/driver problem...

                        Neither one of those is a good number -- not sure that it relates to the DVD burning problem. :P
