Booting into old kernel would not be a problem but the fact is I have upgraded, added and fine tuned so much since then.

Switching back to old kernel therefore would not be a sound evaluation due to the multitude of changed parameters that could have caused it.

ok just checked on my machine @ home (ati gfx) ksnapshot is also working here correctly...

NOTE:: both machines are on the 2.6.31-17 kernel and kde sc 4.4 rc1. one uses the nvidia driver(geforce440Go) and the other the newest ati driver(radieon HD4830)

          Re: KSnapshot issue

Doesn't work for me on intel graphics, using the mainline 2.6.33-020633rc3 kernel. It *used* to work at some point, but I have no idea what broke it.

            Re: KSnapshot issue

FYI, there was an update to xserver-xorg-video-intel today that seems to have fixed the KSnapshot issue. At least it did for me.

Verified here as well. The xserver-xorg-video-intel package was updated on my system yesterday. Nice to have KSnapshot working fully again.

                      Re: KSnapshot issue

I was about to post a "still bugs out for me on intel" post, but then I noticed my own xserver-xorg-video-intel had a versioning error, so it didn't recognize the new driver as an upgrade. (I add a patch to make the screen actually dpms sleep ever on my MSI Wind rebrand netbook.)

So I pulled the updated source, added the patch and uploaded to launchpad. Works nicely now.
