updating to 4.3.4

Hi
I added this line
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-backports main restricted universe multiverse
To software sources , but nothing appears in the list of 3rd party sources, but it still updates to 4.3.4, is this a bug? Will this cause any problems for me down the line?

karmic-backports isn't a "3rd party" repo, it's an official (but unsupported) ubuntu repository.

Your sources list should already include karmic-backports repo, just commented out with (#) in front of the line.

In software sources, you should also be able to enable it by checking "unsupported upgrades" (or something similar)...since you already added the line to sources.list, the repo should already be enabled, of course.
