    Kde-minimal, need help locating certain packages

    I've recently installed kde-minimal and its great, faster everything!

    But i need some help locating packages i need to make the system more fleshed out.

    First is the desktop view widget, that minimises everything to show the desktop
    Second is the volume controller in the notification area
    Third is the package that makes gtk applications look like native Qt ones, i thought it was called gkt curves, but i can't find any package like that in synaptic

    I believe gtk2-engines is what you are looking for.

      package "kmix"

      since you mentioned "curves", you may be referring to package "gtk2-engines-qtcurve". You may also want to install "kcm-gtk" to get a systemsettings module to set gtk theme in KDE.

          I have not been able to get the gtk appearance quite right yet, under system settings-> appearance->gtk appearance i have widget style Qt curve, but it dosen't stop FF looking so ugly, and when i log off, the widget style box is blank again.
