[SOLVED] Set time with cron job ?

How can I setup a cron job using "System Settings" ---> "Task Scheduler" to check a time server and set the time every 60 minutes.

I am familiar with the "Task Scheduler" settings but need to know what command line to use.

Have NTP installed and NTPDATE uninstalled.

Running Kubuntu x64 v9.10 with all current updates.

    Maybe with these:

It is a bit old - 2006 / Kubuntu 6.06 > Topic: Time is accelerating in KDE

You might need to use the System Cron > Topic: How to create a system cron in Task Scheduler?
    Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?

Re: Set time with cron job ?

      Thanks "Rog".

Script runs fine using a server of my choice.

Only problem is, once it executes, I need to manually exit the terminal it runs in.

Any suggestions on how the exit could be made to happen without user intervention?

UPDATE: The manual exit is only required if I manually start the script. In unattended auto mode it does its thing with no intervention needed.
