[Solved]Help!! Flash plugin installed? or not?

When I go to you tube it says get the latest flash player...

If i go to any flash page firefox says

Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page install missing plugins

I click install and it offers to install
-Adobe Flash Player (installer)
-Swfdec SWF player
-Gnash SWF Player

If I proceed with the install it says

Package 'flashplugin-installer' is already installed

The page then reloads and says the same thing about needing to install missing plugins.

I don't know what to do or what has changed... everything was working a 2 weeks ago.

After installing Flash Player did you restart your Browser?

the ezest way to tell if you have a flash player installed it to put the following in firefox's location bar
aboutlugins
this will create a list of installed plugins (look for shockwave flash).
if its not installed, then.....
try the package adobeflash-nonfree (not sure what part of the repo its in might be restricted or universe/mulitverse)

after installing be sure to restart your browser then check aboutlugins again or try youtube

firefox said there was no flash installed... kpackagit said there was flash. So I uninstalled it. Opened up firefox visited a flash site... it offered to install missing pluggins... it then actually installed and worked!

yea i accually installed a video plugin that FF asked for recently , first time it has worked for me too
